I have just changed my battery from a Varta AGM battery (I believe this is the original) to a Bosch AGM battery. (2017 Superb 2.0TDi)

Can I do the battery registration with a cheap bluetooth OBDII (ELM327) from ebay, or do I need one of the expensive ones like OBDeleven or similar?

The bluetooth OBDII is just the interface between the car and the APP you might use.

Check if the APP supports new battery adaptation.
