hi guys. i've owned previously 2020 model superb and the tyre pressure was 2.2 or 2.3 on the guide sticker however new car same enginee just mild hybrid 1.5TSI PHEV. same weight almost. but on the ref sticker it shows 2.5 bar (36PSI) is this normal? i feel like im adding too much air as steering becomes more soften lightweight. what do you guys do follow the guide or put less air?

Are you driving with 3 adults and luggage in as that shows as a recommended pressure?

I'm usually 2 adult one child 5years old but no laggauge yeah for me its too much i want to lower it 2.3 bar i didnt like 2.5 too bad handling 

 

Superb 2025 has to be with 2.8 bar. That is recommendation listed from dealership.

2.8? its insanely High. on my car it shows 2.5 bar. did somebody tell you or just you saw this sticker on your car body?

 

@erkanovski  I do have that claimed on the sticker located on the right back panel.  Also, the dealer draw my attention on that, when I got the car. 

@DasSkoda You have left us to guess what Superb it is and what tyre size. 

Oh, sorry. Superb 4 L&K,  2.0 petrol 265p.s, manufactured December 2024. 

Tyres  dimensions 235/45/18.

I both second set WSP WSPVW 6125 BLACK FULL POLISHED 8Jx18" 5x112 ET43 CB57.1 for the summer. 
I decided to have the tyres that car come on them.  They also was out on 2.8 bar from the dealership.

The 2.0 TSI 265PS has a much higher recommended tyre pressure that any other engine type.

I mean, the only parameters meter, is the size of the car and wheels dimensions.

The usage of the car affects also pressure. If you go ride on a track they recommend increasing pressure over 3 bar.

Maybe somebody thinks the high power version gets driven harder than the rest and thinks putting the foot down with the 265 hp engine demands higher tire pressure.

Worth remembering PHEV has significant additional weight of the battery

this is very good helpful chart. i didnt know it really new modesl 2024 and after minimum tyre pressure now is 2.5 thank you for sharing I still find it too much lol when car not loaded for sure

your car is heavier and bigger larger RIM , Tyre perhaps its the reason but according to above chart skoda increased definitely all models air pressure after 2024. weird tho

In the old 2020 superb, recommended pressure was 34psi, but I was feeling it was too much. So i was using with 32psi. Hence it was more comfortable with  less tyre noise. 
now, i have 2024 superb. It is 85 kg heavier then the old one. recommended pressure is 36 psi, again i think it is too much.  So i use it again less pressure with 34 psi. I feel more comfortable and more stable. I recommend 34 psi.

Resurrecting this thread rather than starting a new one... so what pressures are those of you with the 2.0TDi 193 4x4 running at? Thought I'd check what was in mine after doing a few miles in it after delivery, and amazed to discover that the dealers had sent it out with 45psi in each corner!

According to the sticker on the door frame, Skoda recommend 2.6bar (38psi near as dammit) which is what I've put them at for now, will see how it goes. What's everyone else running at?

Well, I simply do what the manufacturer recommends. I don't pretend to be smarter or know better and I'm not buying all those stories about the big conspiracy. I'm also pretty sure the insurance company would gladly take a low tyre pressure as a reason to decline any claim, so I just do whatever that sticker tells me to do.

Either run tires with pressures suggested by the sticker in regards to load or run them however you want in relation to desired fuel consumption and/or handling or comfort.

If you are sure that insurance company will deny your claims in regards to physical properties of inflated tire that changes air pressure in relation to the temperature and wheel naturally bleeding air then maybe it is a good idea to change the insurance company.

Hi ,

I have a Superb 2019 running on 18 " wheels.Tyre pressure 37 psi

Tyre wear was perfect but on last service dealer reduced tyre pressure and ride uncomfortable.( Tyre pressure checked no doubt when air pressure was high

Increased tyre pressure back to 37 psi and all good.
