I don't think any cords are showing but I'll double check and get back to you.

None of the tyres have dust caps 😭

The photo is rotated 90°, if you rotate your phone 90° to the right then it will be the right way up 😊

Lansail I've seen on a neighbour's car at some point but can't remember if they were any good, the car was very low mileage.

The tyre and wheel look like they have been kerb'd.

No dust caps shows the lack of detail from these "internet" companies.  A Dealership from another town bought another neighbour's car and as it had been "serviced" a few months before and MoT I bet they sold it as it was without really looking at it or checking it and I knew the battery was about had it as it'd been left to deteriorate twice as the car was parked up unused for many months and little used before that but was only just over 3 years old so wanted for sale.

For pollen filter I can recommend Mann as a make (and they make good oil filters) you can choose the type that suits you out of the three (I think) they offer . - https://www.mann-filter.com/uk-en/catalogue.html

Laptop rotated clockwise 90°.

Okay so here's the update!

The lights are an old fault code as they seem to work, the aircon seems to be working too.

AGFalco - There are no cords showing on the damage tyre and the tyre wall hasn't been damaged some how so that's good.

Rum4mo & Nta16 - You're correct about the spare parts for the pollen filter so will grab that.

Nta16 - When I do inevitable have to change the tyres I'll get a set 😊 and thanks for the part number. I forgot to check the window again haha, will try again tomorrow.

All - As to the die in the cup sound (thanks Nta16), the mechanic had a look and couldn’t see anything but said it's very possible something is knocking around in the aircon. Sadly they didn't hear the noise but I did play it to them.

Summary - this has been an interesting one, will get back to where I bought it from to see if they will give me some money to fix a couple bits. The mechanic said there is a bit of weirdness but for the most part it's wear and tear, they could of done a better job with some bits but it isn't a problem and the car will be fine and pass it's MOT. They did advise that I should get the air filter secured though.

Thought I put a thank you in my must post but I didn't see that I wrote it, even though it's in my draft. Thank you so much everyone for your help and advice, I really appreciate it 😊

Thanks for reporting

If they delete the codes they might go away and stay away particularly if the car is used and driven a bit (and battery not low).  Plus you are relying on two different computer programs. VW's in the car and the one in the scan tool, bad enough relying on one (VW's).  The computer programs and systems in the car are very complex intertwined, an itchy buttock might give an ear ache, one system can upset another even if they're not related.  Not that I would think/guess (though rule nothing out with VW) low air-con would effect rear indicators or vice-versa.  If it was me, always looking for easy hands clean work on a car, if the rear indicators comes up again I'd have a look at the two bulbs in case they've been changed and not done too well or other given the state of other work done.

If air-con code returned it might be low, perhaps a leak or from part of front repair work, or perhaps the sensor isn't reporting correctly, or dicky wiring or connection, all good 'fun' finding out if/when required.

"All tyres different qualities" is possibly part of the car's history and story of ownership.

Inlet manifold caught my eye, hope it's something simple, those computer programs are easy to upset and will throw up a warning light and message as soon as look at you, a slight leak here or there can be enough.

Bear in mind an MoT is just one (hopefully trained) person's opinion that at one point in time only the car has passed a statutory minimum standard and not that the car is as good as it could or should be.

I can't remember, if you haven't already had the car (not just engine) fully and properly serviced then I'd get that done sooner than later, not only can things be put right/improved by being serviced whilst doing so it check things in the area(s) and around.

Good luck.
