Considering a used Octavia Estate, 1.5T. Think its going to be a 21 plate given my budget as wanting to get a SE L for the extras. That said finding it difficult to identify a list for 2021/22 cars of the differences between SE vs SE Tech vs SE L. Does anyone know of a list for those year cars?

 

Also, seems like there were lots of tech issues initially but not too many mechanical issues for the 1.5T car. Have the tech issues been sorted out? Is there anything to generally watch out for/avoid etc?

Most of the software issues have now been ironed out.  Version 1941 of the infotainment system was the first stable version.  The current version is 1985.  You can find the version from Menu, page 2, 'Cogs', system information.

 

If you buy from a Skoda dealer then they should have applied all software update.  In particular the infotanment should have been updated to version 1985.  If it has not and they say it will update over the air insist that they perform the update.

 

If buying elsewhere check the infotainment version.  If it 1941 or later it should update to 1985 over the air.  Otherwise there are threads on this forum about updating it.
