Leather seats for vRS

Featured Replies

Hi I bought my 05 Vrs @ 6 months old from a chap who was a Mercedes Benz manager (Derwent). The leather was done by Mercedes and is absolutely top notch. My last two Ford's had black leather interiors and to be honest look and feel crap compared with the Furby.

I rate Seat Surgeons very highly. They retrimmed my rear seat in proper nappa leather to match the TT seats I fitted, & at a price considerably cheaper than anywhere else I was quoted.

TT $eats :wrthless:

Wow! you dug this thread up from the depths!! :D

I'll see what pics I have.

Yep.

OT again, but how was the fit of the TT seats?

Complicated! :D

Planning & a lot of patience was needed.

End results are worth it though.

Thank you!

Needs cleaning once a month to keep it looking in top condition, which is a PITA! :D

Looks great. What are the brand names of the two colours?

Of the options I've seen, yours is by far the best.

I've been in touch with Paul at SS and hope to get the job done in the not too distant future.

How are all the seat surgeons leather retrims standing up to day to day use ? do they need to be cleaned / buffed or whatever regularly ? if so what with ? do the folks with grey inners wish thay had gone all black or what ?

Has everybody had it done from new or next to new or is it ok to be retrimed after nearly 3years ? or has the seats lost shape / firmness by this time ?

Ideally, all leather interiors need to be cleaned & treated reguarly.

I use Gliptone's Liquid Leather cleaner & conditioner.

I am off to Seat Surgeons in York next month to get my seats done in leather.

I'm having the same as Harry's because it's got to be more practical than the original colours (whoever thought seats that colour were a good idea in the first place?!?!) and Harry's looked so nice.
