Leather seats for vRS

Featured Replies

Anyone had the new leather seats option on their Fabia. My dealer says they can get a outside company to do the leather similar to the new option. Dont know whether to get it done. Think they said it costs

There are few guys who have had it done. Do a search. They favour Seat Surgeons, York

Yep. I was the first to have it done. There are some pics on here:

no problem with heated seats and you go to them. When mine was done it took about 4-5 hours, I travelled down from Glasgow to get mine done, left at 4 am was in York for about 8am. they then dropped me off in York and they got to work. York is a lovley city with plenty to do and I made a day of it while they did the work,I was back home for about 8pm. Long day but worth the hassle.

Just took some quick pics of my leather. This was done by Skoda not Seat Surgeons.

How much did that cost you??

£1300 which is alot more than what Seat Surgeons charge plus Skoda don't do the door cards.

However I'm happy with the outcome and it was all fitted before I took delivery of the car.

Skoda mentioned although they can re-trim new or old vrs if it has side airbags, it can't be done.

It 'can' its just as yet the covers arent type approved as they arent fully tested. I was told this is underway.

Thats good news, I did wonder if at some point they would sort that out

I have the same leather as Brows (the 'official' option) it is very nice, much nicer feel to it than the leather in my previous car (S2000). The £1300 outlay is a lot of £ but I got a good deal on my car as it was, so I went for it. Seat Surgeons at £700 is considerably better value for money.

I rate Seat Surgeons very highly. They retrimmed my rear seat in proper nappa leather to match the TT seats I fitted, & at a price considerably cheaper than anywhere else I was quoted.

Hmm if they type approve it Ross could you perhaps drop a note on the site - if it's a dealer accessory I may just consider it :D

The wife want's leather on her vRS and our local dealer will get it

done cost price

IIRC its allready been posted on here that seat surgeons can recover side airbags and heated seats.

Someone was in a black 06 fabia getting kitted out today, didnt manage to catch whoever it was.

Dam they look good... I want leather! I so cannot afford it though :(

I have leather steering wheel, gear nob and hanbrake though :D

With the genuine leather option, is the leather all the same, or are the centre sections a different type of leather. Can't quite tell from the pics.

All the lether is the same except the centres are perforated like the steering wheel. ;)

My car turned up as standard plus my options. Seats were removed and sent off for retrim. Came back around a week later, refitted and job done. In answer to your question no the leather isn't the same but still looks good anyway :)
