Coolant(?) Pipe Broke Away from T Piece

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Looking for some advice, my car is a 2012 Octavia 2 Estate 4x4 Version 2.0 TDI

I've managed to snap one of the hoses away from the plastic t-piece that's situated in the "bottom right" of the engine bay. In trying to get the oil filter off I've lost my grip and sent my hand flying which has snapped it off.

Wondering how is best to repair this as I don't think a new hose is going to fix it? Unless it has a smaller bit that pushes in? I can't really see how it connects to the T piece.

Any advice on how to get this back to normal and what parts I'm needing to buy?

Best,

Pat

I would get the t piece and a few new Clamps as a start.

You might be able to drill the broken piece of plastic out of the hose but if not, replace that hose too.

Twist the Hoses a bit before you ease them off the plastic fittings so you don't break more barbs off
