Rattle from rear seat passenger side

Featured Replies

Hi guys I've a 2021 Skoda Superb combi Style. When I'm on the motor way there's an annoying rattle coming from the rear passenger side seat.. if I drop the sear it quietens it considerable but if I raise it up even half way the noise is back. It actually sounds like wind but it 100% isn't. I'm at a loss here and would appreciate any feedback. I thought maybe the seat bolster clips might have been a little loose so I gave it a couple of slaps..all I succeeded in doing was cracking the plastic frame!

Is the noise going away when someone is seated there? It could be the latch a bit loose, or also just the plastic on the side of the seat coming loose. Try put some silicon spray in the gaps and see if the rattle quietens or dies.

Thanks for the reply. I don't know tbh but it's fair annoying. I have tried the silicone spray and also putting cloth tape on the door latch and seat latch. Made no difference unfortunately.

Have you checked the rear armrest is clear of stuff, and opened the ski whole and closed?

Can’t think of much else without hearing it

Hi Danoid thanks for reply. I'm starting to think it may be from one of the undertrays/heatshields rattling in the wind. It's more so on the motorway but when I slip off to my exit it's a smoother road surface and the rattle stops even when I keep up the 60mph. It's maddening. Its times like these I would love a shed and a decent 2 post lift and just strip it all down. Trying to explain all this to a busy technician is a waste of time. I see them rolling their eyes already lol
