2023 Octavia Estate SEL IV

Featured Replies

I’m really hoping someone else has had this issue and has resolved it, as my local SKODA garage are scratching their heads.

If I access the car more than a couple of times, and don’t start it and drive, the 12v battery seemingly dies.

It also does it if I turn the car off and sit in it for circa 20 minutes. The only way to get it started it to obviously jump/boost start it.

There is a tracker fitted (it’s a company car); however, I had this removed and it still played up so it can’t really be that.

The last time it was in the garage they decided to just charge the battery over night and give it a clean bill of health. The next day I had the same issue.

Please help; other than this I love this car. 😭

It’s a common issue.

‘Ghost discharge’

Mine is going back in again as each time they run diagnostics, it doesn’t find a problem.

They replaced my 12v battery in the end and fingers crossed not had the issue since

Same issue 2021 phev. 12v died 3 times 2 months ago. Replaced the battery and solved the issue. 12v battery was 3,5 years old with 24k miles on it. Don’t know if this issue comes back soon. But I do read it quite often on this forum that ppl have 12v issues with this car. I do know that complaining people often post more. So I can’t really wrap around my fingers if it’s a large problem or not.
