Kodiaq Selection black back strip?

Featured Replies

Have a MK2 Selection and like it very much overall, keep wondering though about the back trim(don't know what the actual phrase is) highlighted in the pic. Why did Skoda make a decision to do it in black for Selection models and in red for Sel+ My car is black so it doesn't look off but I've seen grey and blue ones on the road with it and it looks out of place!

I think the answer to that is obvious… it’s to make the higher spec models look more desirable, as it just looks like the lights extend across the whole of the back of the car (which seems to be a modern trend).

Same reason you can get those rear ‘blades’ in black on the sporty trims. That was stolen straight out of the Audi Q2 playbook.

That's it.. Either buy a higher trim or add an expensive lighting package.

The uglier they make this, the easier the upsell ;)

Red trim comes with car if you select matrix led (full led).
