Hi. I bought an Octavia reg WN16CGU. Car has no rear mirror and rain sensor.

Need to buy them , but not sure what part number will fit, as there is a few options.

Skoda is happy to sell mirror for ££££, way too expensive.

Obviously they refused to say what parts number are needed.( company policy…)

Can anyone help me with part numbers for the mirror and sensor please?

There are a few mirror options available, as the part number has changed a few times, here they are oldest to newest revision, any will work okay:

The rain sensor:

*if you are buying a used one, you will need a new adhesive pad: 7N0955609

If you need trims:

Lower cover: 6V0858548A 9B9

The dealer should give you the part number - at least, every dealer I've ever phoned up has happily provided a list of part numbers, whether they're supplying them or not. Give Caffyns Skoda in Tunbridge Wells a ring - don't trust them to sharpen your pencil, but the parts manager Darren is brilliant.

I must admit Skoda Dartford parts department is not keen to provide part nbr at all.

Yeah, I've had that with a lot of dealerships and I suppose you understand why, it's taking their resource time computer to look up parts for you . If you don't buy anything, nothing is recovered. But continues dealerships are just helpful...

I'm not sure if you're referring to the wing mirror or the internal rear view mirror. And then glass only or entire fitting..

Rear view mirror, with the rain sensor. My guess is the whole unit, with trim, which won't be cheap wherever you get it from (unless a breaker?)

Thanks again for your support, I decided to go for breaker yard/ EBay way. Unfortunately new electronic mirror cost over £500 at Skoda and that’s way too expensive in my opinion.

Specially if car value is low.

I just need a mounting bracket that is glued to the windscreen now.

If anyone can help it just let me know please. Thanks.

One more thing.

My 2016 Octavia 2.0 TDI dsg seems to be less economical than expected.

No error codes, tyres pressure ok, full service done with all new filters on .

Looks like the average consumption will be below 50 mpg on the long run.

Any ideas what to check on her, please?
