Hesitation starting then Warning Lights

Featured Replies

My 2016 Skoda Superb has just started hesitating to start (few seconds) before starting.....Once engine starts warning lights come on for ECS, auto brake (that thingo that holds car when stopping at lights) and a few others.

Starting is worse if car lights and aircon are on....

Had to drive 300km after this happened and car drove perfect minus no cruise control and the functions effected by warnings.

Battery was changed in 2023 February and have mainly done short drives around town....

Cleared faults with OBD11 and then it repeats starting heaitation and then warning lights on with next start...

Any thoughts?

Cheers

Hmm that does sound like battery issue but you changed it not long ago so shouldn’t be that but I’d get the battery tested somewhere first

Will get it checked out.....Cheers

Did you change the battery with the right type? And told the car it has a new battery, rating and chemistry?

What faults did you clear?

Are they all for Low battery voltage?

It's likely to be a low battery based on your description.

Do you have anything connected like a dash cam, charger etc ?
