Retrofit front foglights

Featured Replies

Hey all, along with wanting To do some.other upgrades on my otherwise basic fabia estate, I was hoping someone could tell me if its possible to retrofit front foglights? My hope is that the plugs are already present as this seems to be common among VW group cars, I have the light controls that have the single pullout for the rear foglight, if its possible to retrofit the foglights would I need a different set of light controls to enable the front fogs?

Thanks!

Did have a look there, seems to be limited information about whether or not the wiring is present, I haven't found any when I looked but then I don't know if its like reallt tucked away

Ah that's unfortunate, I was hoping they just reused the same loom throughout. Suppose I can always wire them myself if I can be bothered one day

My sons MK1 has the spaces in bumper but no wiring. I was thinking of fitting them with an inline fuse and just an extra switch on dash to make it simple.

Thats the route I was thinking of going with this to be honest.. might see if I can work out a way to actually run it from the standard light switches though! Would be nice to have them!

Was actually thinking on driving lights instead of fog as the headlights on his arent the best.

I would be tempted to have a very good look for the looms, maybe even remove the front bumper if you cannot see much and see if the plugs are clipped up out the way, you never know.

May be worth a look when I've got a minute to pull the front off, I've removed the grilles and such and had a look that way and couldn't see anything but I may have one last look just in case, general consensus seems to be that the looks won't be there but you never know!
