The gear change on my vrs tends to be ‘notchy’, similar to clutch drag. recenty had a new Clutch & flywheel fitted. Are there any known linkage items that would respond to lubrication or would a clutch system bleed help ?

Common on the vag group, synchros/baulk rings. You can try adjusting the cables might help a bit but I doubt it.

That's assuming they used the correct oil.
