Sudden issue. Eml light on

Featured Replies

Hi all. New to this forum. I have a 2016 Superb 280 tsi 4x4 sport line. When driving home from work tonight I had a sudden judder, the eml light flashed then disappeared then another sudden judder flashed and disappeared again and then appears to have gone into limp mode. I stopped and turned it off. Started back up and lights were out. Attempted to drive off and had the judder again and flashing eml and put itself back into limp mode. Got it home and now eml stays on (solid) and has a rough idle. Planning to call the RAC to plug it in but any thoughts welcome

84k on the clock.

100% get it scanned then write down all codes if it doesn’t have a timestamp (does if it’s vcds at least others should be the same), clear codes, continue driving until it happens again then rescan.

To me sounds spark or fuelling issue but only a wild guess

Judder, injectors not working dirty fuel or wrong fuel?

@Rob619 Is servicing up to date?

Has it had it,s 2nd change of spark plugs, and when was the air filter last checked or replaced?

Could there be any mis-fuelling issue, are you the cars only driver?
