Infotainment System - Deletes Presets

Featured Replies

Hello All

I was hoping to get some help with an issue i am having with the MIB2 infotainment system in my 2015 octavia. There are currently 2 issues.

1) Despite having the Skoda SD card for the navigation system it does not work stating i must insert media with compatible information. Looking at the system information it states my navigation database is N/A. I did try and download the new maps from the update portal but this did not work.

2) My radio and bluetooth will not store information. If i connect my phone or add presets to the radio as soon as i turn off the car and lock the doors it will lose any memory of the presets and phones that have been connected. I have tried resetting the system to no avail.

If anyone oculd help or guide me to any other information you would require that would be greatly appreciated

Where did you get your nav SD card from? If it's just a standard SD card, it won't work. It needs to be the specific Skoda SD Navigation card for that car.

Your second issue sounds like a power problem. Do you have an old and failing battery? Do a CCA test and if it is below 70% of the advertised capacity, it's junk and needs replacing (remember to code in the new battery). If the voltage drops below a certain value, then the MIB system will factory reset.

As a minimum, you need to get the firmware up to 0253. Anything earlier is buggy.

OK thanks. How do I go about obtaining the firmware and instructions on how to update?
