Was 23 in November.

Changed from a heavily modified Fiat Bravo HGT (the 5 cylinder, 20valve one).

Had all the jokes about it being a grandads car and when was i expecting kids but one drive was all it took to stop them laughing!

The cars fantastic i'm sure you'll love it.

I was 31 when i bought mine...and it looks as though i will be 34 when i get my next one , coz i cant take much more of the Galant...... :cussing:

I could give you a run in mine Duncan, just to persuade you to come back to the dark side ;)

I got mine at 32. The old man's car is the 4x4 Estate :D

I do apologise for the misunderstanding, Geoff! But why the mention of the 4X4 then?

Denis, i was simply saying the 4x4 is the car for old men, i.e. "the old mans car".... :D

As for the other, no need for apologies, how would you know? ;)

Perhaps the stray apostrophe caused confusion, i apologise :)

You leave poor Josh out of this he's done nothing wrong. ;)
You seem to be getting a bit sedentary upstairs, Des, since graduating to armchair driving. There was a time when members could have relied upon you to provide an in depth critique of the efforts of others to take their engines (and our credulity) to the limit and beyond - but all we hear these days is talk of 'cruising' and the like. Where has all the excitement gone? :(

I'm 28, and was 27 when I bought the Octavia. The Seat dealer tried to give me "Octavia? It's an old man's car compared to this!" (meaning the Leon Cupra). Maybe, but the Skoda has better build quality and half leather interior as standard.

Out of curiosity, what are you considering as an alternative?
