Programming seat position memory

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I got my Kodiaq iV SportLine yesterday, and it comes with an electrically operated driver seat, with programmable memory positions.

I have searched online, looked in the printed manual, searched the online manual, but cannot find a way to program the seat position that works!

YouTube says press the set button, then press and hold the required memory location until you hear the ‘bong’.

I cannot get it to work. Am I missing something? Ignition on or off? Seat belt on or off? Door open or closed?

Any ideas where I am going wrong?

Thanks

I think its the other way round.... ie select 1 (or2) - if you hold it, it will move to the stored position. Then adjust the seat, and press 1 (or2) to select which position you want to store it in... but don't hold them, and then press and hold the SET button for about 3-5 seconds and it will bong showing its stored. then do the same for 2(or1) if you want to save two positions.

Hi @barrieb

Thanks for that explanation. I have just tried that, and it doesn’t work.

I have noticed that I can move the seat to any position I want, and pressing any button (1,2 or 3) does not make the seat move at all, so I’m wondering if there is a bigger issue?

I have just found this description in the online user manual

User guide

This is the method I have tried, and it doesn’t work, so I suspect there is something else wrong …. A call to Škoda is in order I think!

I think you are right!

I can't move the seat manually at all (as the motors hold it in place)

- I can move it in all directions using the adjuster buttons, if I then press a number button, it automatically moves back to the already stored position.

I assume you have activated the Skoda connect app? This is usually done at the garage when you go to collect. Mine wouldn't connect, but the salesman showed me what to do and once I managed to connect it at home, everything was as it should be.

When I got my second mk2 as soon as we connected the car to the app it immediately changed the radio station presets and moved the drivers seat into my set position. Scared me half to death as the seat moved on it's own.

with the ignition on, adjust he seat to how you want it.

Press and release the set button and then press the 1,2 or 3 button. You should then hear the bong.

If you feel the need to make fine adjustments while you’re driving, just adjust, press the buttons as before.

You need to get a feel for the buttons before you set off mind.

AFAIK you don’t need the Skoda app to do this

thanks … that’s confirmed what I thought. It doesn’t seem to work in the car, so I will get it sorted under warranty.

The seat adjustment buttons work, but the memory features don’t.

I think there is a comfort access thing too that moves the seat back to make it easier to get in and out. That doesn’t work either.

There is indeed. Set by the screen in the graphic vehicle seating

Absolutely correct. This has worked on every Kodiaq I've owned (5).

I can only confirm what has been indicated above:

  • Car started / engine running

  • Set your driving position to your liking

  • Tap SET button on the side of your seat

  • Tap 1, 2 or 3 wthin 10 seconds to save the position of your seat and side mirrors

I've even adjusted this while driving (minor backrest or thigh adjustments) and did this without looking, no problems at all.

I took the car into the dealer and they have fixed the issue now.
