Bluetooth problems 2011

Featured Replies

Hi, just looking for help here, ive a 2011 skoda octavia scout, ive spent hours trying to establish pairing my phone, i can see the car in my phone btooth, but i cannot see how to access it on the consul or dash, when i press the phone option on the consul all it does is mutes the volume, and i have no phone button on the sterring wheel, (right hand button where phone icon might be is just circular arrows), tried pressing the up down button but still no btooth or phone options, pressing end of indicator is to activate cruise control i believe, anyone any ideas, if i need to upload a pic i will if it helps , thanks very much

I see no one replied, well, thats ok lol, just an update then, ive established that theres some sort of fault in the system, basically the cd player is saying error, cant insert one at all, its giving me the option to put one in any of 6 empty slots, it doesnt look like it could hold 6 different cds but im no expert, also, the steering wheel im thinking isnt the original, hence no phone button on it, i think its gonna be a plug in bt device for me 😪😪

Have a look in the rear of car. I discovered a multicd unit in the left hand side panel in boot that I didnt know I had. Mines an estate

No luck there, this is an octavia scout estate, the bolero radio consul has a cd loading point on it, but the consul keeps saying error, thanks for the reply

Have you the blutooth unit under the drivers/passenger seat? It depends on the cars spec if its factory fitted. The bluetooth I believe still shows up when its not there. I am not sure but I read it can be accessed via maxidot display?

When you can see the Bluetooth on your phone, what name does it come up with?

SKODA 7612

When i go thru the menu on the dashboard no phone option, and as already mentioned, no phone icon on the wheel, just a circular icon where the phone button might be, ive realised that is to switch from radio to media and all

Try disconnecting and reconnecting the Bluetooth module. It should be under the driver's seat.

If it's not in the menu on the maxidot screen, it might be that the car has lost the coding that Bluetooth is fitted. A scan with vcds or other diagnostic tools should be able to tell you.
