Hi , When my car is being driven with the stop start engaged and the car comes to a halt and the engine stops but when the car dries to start the dash sign comes up saying Start the car manually !

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Are you stopping for a particularly long period, or are we just talking about stopping at traffic lights? Are you engaging the electronic hand brake when this happens?

Sounds like the car thinks you may have opened a door - are your door locks wrking OK?

I have a feeling that it could be user error might re the issue ; how to feel a bit of a prat on my case.

My parking area is on a slope and my wife has to open her door together out of the car.When she does that the car won't automatically restart but it's works perfectly when I stop and restart when the door is not opened !!
