Hi,

Here are some modifications I've made with a genuine VCDS Hex-V2 on my MY2022 Kodiaq.

I've made these mods alone. Some may be irrelevant for your Kodiaq (depending on MY, control unit HW or SW version, equipment, etc.).

Don't attempt to duplicate them on your car if you don't know what you're doing.

As far as I understand your Kodiaq is a pre-FL, isn't it?

Then if you intend to share your codings (which would be great 😃!), I suggest creating a dedicated thread, since codings may be different between Non-FL and FL versions.

This has been done this way in the Superb Mk3 forum. I think it makes sense to find the right coding more easily and quickly. ;)

TIA

They are both using MQB platform so I assume there will be no difference, maybe some minor details.

IMHO fear it's a bit more than "minor details"

In the Superb MK3 forum (also MQB) there are 2 distincts threads for Non-FL and FL versions.

I had noticed that some mods on FL aren't doable on non-FL. 🤷‍♂️

On the other hand, I have done tons of mods, suitable for Superb 2. Totally different platform.

Will post some mods I have done yet in the next days.

Ones that I've done but can't remember how is enabling brake lights to be on when the boot is open. Seems daft but I figured it was more a safety precaution when I'm parked up and in and out of the boot on a dark night or unlit street.

Plus cornering foglights

I've found it but not tested myself. I can MP it to you so you can check and confirm, if you want.

Forgot to say, most of these codings are inspired by the tremendous job shared by @MartiniB 👋 in the Superb Mk3 forum!

I want to thank him 👏 !

Do you test all the codes you specify here yourself?

Ive done it on a Tiguan and all it does is run you battery flat if you have the boot open for an extended period.

That and the flashing start button are two of the more useless mods IMHO.

Also di the lock on leaving and found it was far too fast, especially if you forgot something nad went to open door I nearly ripped the handle off and so it went in the bin

I did about 36 to my Tiguan and all were helpful.

Like disable the undertaking prevention

do the AUDI mod for more engine response

Have too much respect for my wallet so would never need to worry about launch control

Have been unable to disable Stop/start on a 21 car so what year did you do it on Here is a list of most of them and should work on similar other models as most are the same in the Kamiq

Yes. All codings, I´ve tested all the codings I´ve shared above. 🙂

But pay attention to the 1st sentence of the disclaimer. Some may not work on all Kodiaqs though…

My Kodiaq has been 1st registered in Feb 2022.

I think that the method of changing the voltage on your model works and that the start/stop function is outsmarted is a rumor

without manipulation in the engine control unit or gateway data set it is no longer possible to outsmart start stop... partly it is possible via control unit 08 and the AC conditions

In addition, such a list makes much more sense if the affected control units of the coding carried out, hardware hardware version software and software version are included

Hello, has anyone tried coding the us lighting on VRS, thx and if so, what is the procedure?

All my coding was done with an OBDELEVEN. It all worked up until I sold the car. Also the instructions as written are enough to do it with that device

I have tried every method to disable stop start and it cant be done except by a cheater cable from the likes of Ali Express Is a well known thing that VAG locked it from being able to be done

I don't question their work, but it may not work in the next model year, etc., so I think control unit information is quite important.

I've made this mod on my ex-Superb Mk3 and lived happily with it for roughly 7 years. It simply works. The S&S did not kick in all the time.

Many VCDS owners have completely disabled their S&S by setting this start voltage limit to 12.0V. Maybe I misunderstand o mistranslate your sayings (sorry I'm french, nobody's perfect), but I don't see what makes you say this method is a rumor.

Of course there are probably most optimized ways to make the S&S less invasive. But considering a gain/effort ratio aspect, I don't know any better way or even at least as efficient as this one.

If you do, please share. 🙂

You're absolutely right. But still considering a gain/effort aspect, what you propose would have taken me way more time. I've tried this mods on my own. Nobody told me what versions of HW/SW they work with.

For any of the mods I've found, if it works, this makes me happy. If it fails, no problem, my car remains as it was before.

Note: I already make you save time. I don't share those which failed for me... ;)

Cheers.

This is about the first-series Kodiaq facelift. Model year 2022. Your voltage trick doesn't work here anymore... do you really think I need your list? Sorry, I'm correcting mistakes.

  • Author

Oh I see! It was first a rumor, but finally still worked until 2021 or so... Interesting.

If you don't need my list, I have no problem with it. Then don't waste your time on this thread.

I don't need people who criticizes without proposing anything else. This is a lose-lose deal which doesn't help going forward.

Regards.

Edited by Bap33

I even wrote an alternative solution... it doesn't help anyone if you write in the first post that everything has been checked, which isn't true.

The topic is Kodiaq 1 Facelift model, built in 2022. I think it's a rumor that you can outsmart the start/stop function using the solution you described. I think the translation is also causing problems.

I dont know how many times we have to say this so I will write it big so People wont miss it

VAG LOCKED MODULES FROM MID 2020 AND I HAVE NEVER FOUND A S/S SOLUTION ANYWHERE AND THE ONLY SOLUTION IS AN ALI EXPRESS CABLE

Yes it S/S defeat did work on your and everyones 7 year old models. Even my late 2019 model but it WONT WORK on newer models and I have looked and looked to do it on the Kamiq. I have tried the voltage , the aircon and other methods and none work. Must have tried about 10 times but nothing works. Even the bloody cheater cable wont work as I bought it 2 years ago and lost the instructions for it.
