Variable Cruise Control question

Featured Replies

I have a query I hope the good people on here can help with. I have just taken delivery of 2024 Kodiaq SEL2.0 diesel DSG and I am having a problem with the variable cruise control. See the images attached for the messages I get when I use cruise control. I can't find how to.resolve the issue. My dealer gave me advice that didn't work and hasn't as yet responded to my follow up enquires

It looks like your vehicle doesn't have adaptive cruise control (ACC) installed. The message means you can purchase it through the shop.

I got this far but my big problem is finding the solution in Shop. Anyone got any clues?

Surprising that ACC might not be installed. AFAIK safety systems such Lane Assist, Front assist and ACC should be mandatory on brand new vehicles. Am I wrong... Or is it only applicable in EU? 🤔

I wouldn’t think ACC is mandatory, it’s a purchasable option.

Check your contract or offer, is ACC listed there as an option? If it is, kindly insist that your dealer honors the agreement and enables it. If not, you will probably have to purchase it presumably in the infotainment Shop

My Kodiaq does have ACC. I made sure it did. It is definitely worth it. It works great. Stops behind a car stopped at a traffic light, accelerates again as soon as the car in front starts moving. I am really happy with it.

Well Greek Geek, mine is supposed to have ACC too, just struggling to get it activated. Any suggestions?

If it is listed in the options on the invoice, then it is the dealer's job. I don't think there is anything you can do. If the dealer does not respond, I would suggest a call and an email to Skoda quarters in the Czech Republic. Don't late an idiotic (that's the word I am allowed to use here) dealer push you around!

SE L mk2 doesn't have ACC as standard. Or predictive adaptive cruise to be more accurate.

Both mine have had it but shown as no cost options which it appears all early cars had.

If it isn't shown as an option your car won't have it.

As GreenlineIIEstate has said ACC is not standard on the SEL in the UK. I'm currently finalising an order for one. It can be added as a pack during ordering (before it is accepted by the factory) this is as the Driver Assistance Package, for £830, which includes Lane Assist Plus, or can be purchased as a standalone for £655 from the shop post delivery.

My understanding of the 'shop' is that this is through the Skoda connect app. Then into more and then into service overview. There you can find functions on demand.

You need to check the advert when you bought the car to see if it was listed.

doesn't always work, as some list standard spec and put a little disclaimer note at end.

But if they sold it with it advertised, seller should either buy it for you and add it, or rebate you the cost of you adding it from Skoda shop.

I picked up my Sportline 2.0 TSI on 03JUL and had a similar error. On mine I had to press a button near the RHS roller switch on the steering wheel. All I had to do was change the setting from "Speed Limiter" to "ACC" and it worked. Of course, the dealer didn't have a clue ;-)
