Installing Door Edge Protectors after purchase

Featured Replies

Has anyone installed the door edge protectors that Skoda is offering as an option? I think it's a great idea and I would like to install them. The dealer did not have any Skodas with that option.

I think it's careless drivers and passengers of other cars that need door protectors, especially those yummy mummies with unruly brats pushing their doors open at full force without any care for the car parked next to them. This is why I always get comestic repair insurance with every new car.

You make a very good point. Perhaps that is why this option is sold along with rear screens for those unruly brats. :-)

I had these as standard on an earlier Kodiaq. When cleaning the car an over enthousiastic car detailer decided to sponge the door shuts and open door edges and actually ripped the door protector off. I understand Skoda no longer fit them as standard. IMHO they are crap.

I agree, they don't stop the gormless woman or the impatient kid in the car parked next to yours to whack their doors in to yours.

The door protection if for your door not to get damaged when hitting something. So you can pay for it or pay attention to it. )
