Suspension Woes

Featured Replies

So, I live in the Czech Republic where I purchased my car second hand. I’ve had it a while and things are starting to go wrong. Specifically, there was a weird knocking noise recently. I took the front wheel off to inspect to find the coil spring had fallen apart. No the tricky bit. I’m back home in the UK and this is where the problem occurred. I am reluctant to head off the the stealers for repair, but the small garages won’t do anything without a reg number (UK) which I can’t give. They don’t seem to be able to help me with the VIN.

Can anyone give me a part number for front left side spring and top mount please.

Car is a Skoda superb III 140kw 4x4 automatic 2016.

Many thanks for any help

Chris

If it's a 2016 Superb MK3 2.0TDI 140kW 4x4 automatic hatchback/estate with standard ride height, the front springs are probably 5Q0411105GM or 5Q0411105GN.

5Q0411105GM is build code L07 and has 1 blue dot and 1 grey dot.

5Q0411105GN is build code L08 and has 1 green dot and 1 white dot.
