I really miss my cd player and have recently seen portable Bluetooth cd players for around £40.00.

Just wondered if anyone has tried these, and if they do actually work on Bluetooth.

My iPhone works on Bluetooth ok, so would like to think a different device on Bluetooth would work too.

Would be interested on anyone who might have these portable Bluetooth cd players.

Thanks in advance,

Tim.

I'm not very good with technology, but I've transferred all my CDs onto a USB memory stick and I use this in the car. I've now got a big range of CDs that I couldn't have in the car all at the same time and SWMBO's happy that I sent all my CDs to a charity shop and there's less clutter at home.

Don't know how much can be of help, but years ago, when I could not afford a car CD unit, I would use my Discman with an adapter cassette to my removable radio* but the CD unit in itself requires its place fairly free from vibrations and also you must check it can work in any position ... I honestly do not know how much of an advantage it would be. I am certainly NOT going back.

I miss my CD collection a lot, and I dislike playlists spotify and the buch, and that is why I am slowly, slowly passing the stuff to digital and from there to USB sticks. Cumbersome, but is the end of an era and must go with it.

Like Penpusher above, woman is more than happy see all my CDs disappear, but I am still wondering how to dispose of them....

An unexpected advantage of this ordeal is that I will get rid of all car CD units entirely, and then you can "duplicate" the USB sticks and ran them through a media receiver, which is much cheaper lighter and simpler than a proper CD unit ...

* I wonder how this contraption would sound to a young person today ... 😁

As I mentioned in my post, I took all mine to a charity shop who were very pleased to take them, though I don't know if you have charity shops in Bulgaria. I did think of selling them on eBay, but it's a lot of effort for not much return plus the hassle of posting them, so I didn't bother. We're getting ready to move house, so time isn't on my side at present and we cleared a lot of other things we no longer need to charity shops, such as books, ornaments, etc.

Yeah, I saw you mention, but here sometimes "charity" works, unfortunately, differently ... let's not go into it.
