Help me identify the whining/ high pitched buzzing noise on my Kodiaq

Featured Replies

Usually it’s more pronounced after a short drive and it happens if I drive or it’s in Park. I can’t notice it in idle, it’s only noticeable when I rev the engine.

Its 2018 Kodiaq 2.0 TSI 4x4 engine CZPA.

I will upload a short video of the sound as I am reviewing the engine.

I tried to diagnose it with ChatGPT and it thinks it’s a resonance from something loose like heat shield.

I replaced the serpentine belt and checked all the pulleys and they seem to be fine.

I am just can’t figure out where the source of the sound is its very specific.

I also excluded the timing chain as the deviation is under 1 degree ( with OBD eleven).

I also scanned for codes and there isn’t anything there.

II don't hear anything on the video... except the turbocharger whining

Is that normal? Thats the sound I am worried about. My neighbor has an Octavia TSI but his car doesn’t sound like that at all.
