Post should really be in "General Automotive Chat" section but:

New or second-hand, and what model level are you looking at? What features are important to you: ride comfort, handling, entertainment features, panoramic roof, electric seats, lumbar support adjustment (in passenger seat), cloth or leather, air-con or climate control, headlight performance, mostly local driving, or long distance, rear space for family commitments/children/teenagers/elderly parents etc etc.?????

What price variation/deals, warranties, servicing packages are available? Location of nearest local reputable dealer for servicing should not be overlooked either.

Have you test driven both to make up your own mind? Got comparative quotes from dealers to compare features on similar priced models. If not, then why not as most of the things that could swing your decision either way will be very subjective?

Karoq. Looks better outside and has a better interior. The T-Roc just feels and looks a bit cheap.

Just for my partner she getting mobility and wants a bigger car looking for something abit higher so she can get in better so a small suv seems the way any spec would do..

Forgot about ev it would be petrol or diesel but seems dont do many diesel on mobility

Karoq looks nicer

The Karoq Advance payment is high compared to VW models.

£2,999 - £3,999 on a 1,5 TSI-ACT DSG.

There are petrol high seat / cross overs that are as good as a Karoq.

The Kamiq suits some for easy in easy out.

The wife was recently given a Karoq for the day when her Octavia was in for a service, a new SE Edition DSG model, she liked everything about it except the seats which were very basic and flat and she found it extremely uncomfortable.

Before I had my Superb I had a Tiguan SEL (ok, different to the T-Roc) and again she found the SUV driving position/seats pretty uncomfortable - it was more of a sit up dining chair driving position than a comfortable arm chair type sitting position as in the Octavia & Superb, sometimes the SUV seats don't go low enough for our preferred sitting/driving position.

You really need to sit in them and see for yourselves how you & your partner feel, one may be suitable and the other one not so much, if they are both suitable select the one with the equipment you feel is the better option for your requirements.

Cheers for the information people it would just be me that's drives all ready have my scoda octavia with I be keeping if she goes down the line for mobility car

Of the two, I'd get a T-Roc. I think they look better and have a nicer interior. I've driven a T-Roc R (not really a comparison) and it was nice. I've also driven an Arona FR and it was the worst car I've ever driven. I prefer my old VW Fox, and I could see the road through the floor.

If it were me, I'd get a Formentor. I've driven one as a courtesy car and thought it drove quite nicely. They also look fantastic.

The Formentor is not available in this quarter from Motability.

EDIT, Sorry, my bad, it is.

Quite a choice, and there are Ateca,s as well.

100% agree with this post.

Get an extended test drive in the Karoq. The seats in all current models have long bases and are heavily sloped. They don't have seat base length or seat base angle adjustment unless you pay extra for electric seat adjustment.

For me that made the upright driving position uncomfortable. Maybe fine in a sports car but not an SUV.

I'd been fine with four Yeti's, Octavia's, Fabia's etc. etc. After 10 months swapped the Karoq for a Superb.
