Without sounding flippant, have your RTFM? This information will be in your Skoda handbook.

Hint - press the far right hand menu button on the steering wheel and select one of the other selections.

yes i've tried the hand book and the far right menu button but still can't get it off compass

Try resetting the MIB system. Press and hold the power button until the system hard resets. Failing that, battery off, leave it 5 mins and reconnect.

You should then identify which MIB system you have and firmware update it.

You don't need to reset the unit....fgs.

Push "click" the right hand scroll wheel brings up a menu with driving data, radio, nav etc.

Use the scroll wheel to move up or down to move off the NAV option,

Push "click" the scroll wheel to select the more appropriate option you want.

The compass appears if you are on the Sat Nav option in the list when no destination is being navigated to.

In "driving data" menu, use the scroll wheel up or down to scroll to other displays, i.e average mpg, distance.
