Door panel removal, what's this connector for?

Featured Replies

I have had a rattling door card since the dealer changed the drivers door locking module under warranty few months ago. Instead of the hassle of getting back to the dealers I popped the door card. There was several missing clips and a loose connector(previously looks like it's been glued to the panel). I wrapped the connector in foam and gone but does anyone have any idea what it's for?

My car has the CANTON sound system so wondered if it was for the small tweeter next to the door handle that my car doesn't have.

That looks like the ambient lighting connector.

I’d forgot about that. Should this be stuck to the inside of the door card above the door handle?

I’ll check if it still lights up.

Dealer made a right mess

Just to update, it was the ambient lightening connector. Fixed back on and changed the broken clips. All working and no rattles.

Good to hear its fixed and all good now 🙂
