Skoda connect renewal?

Featured Replies

A couple of months ago, I bought a 2024 Octavia after my Superb died. The dealer didn't mention that Skoda Connect is a subscription service but I find that it expires next month.

I've had an email offering me "15% off" if I renew now. All sorts of businesses offer a better price to win back your custom if you cancel or lapse a service. Will this happen here or is this offer as good as it gets?

They want £31 for remote access and £37 for maps (probably don't need that as well as my phone), both for 12 months. I can do with out traffic sign recognition (£63) and high beam assist (£143).

I let mine lapse - the remote access for driving data was useful but not essential after the novelty wore off, and the "lock" status gave me a false negative, so I figured that wasn't worth having.

I think this is about as good as it gets. It's the first year that I've been offered a discount on it at my renewal time. If memory serves, there was a deal around Christmas time too, but I can't remember what the discount rate was. I couldn't take advantage because you can only 'top up' your subscription within a set number of months ahead of the renewal date.

With regards to High beam assist and traffic sign recognition - I believe they are one-off purchases, and not subscription based.

Yes, that is the case, it's a one off cost to add the features.
