Automatic door locking

Featured Replies

Occasionally when I am bored I read the Owner's Manual. After 12 years of thumbing through, on page 29 under the heading of Automatic locking and unlocking it states, " All doors and the boot lid are locked automatically once the car reaches a speed of about 15km/h." I have never heard the click of the doors locking so I presume this feature was never included in the spec or offered as an optional extra because the sales brochure doesn't mention it. Has anyone got this feature?

Anti-hijack door locking can be a selectable (tick-box) option in the infotainment menu - if available, it may be in the same section as 'convenience opening' for the windows.

Roomsters are pre-infotainment so no menus.

Probably an adaptation that can be enabled or disabled via VCDS.
