Hello, I have a Kodiaq 2.0 TDI MK1 2019, 110 kW (Stage 1), currently with 88,500 km. The last oil change was in January this year at 77,000 km, and the service used Castrol 5W30. After 11,500 km, I had to add about 0.6–0.7 L of oil because the level was below the middle mark. Is this normal? And what oil do you usually use for this engine? For the next oil change, I plan to use either Shell or Aral.

I wouldn't consider slightly more than 1/2 L of oil consumed in 11500 Km to be excessive.

Provided the oil is from a reliable supplier and is correct spec, actual brand of oil is unimportant.

Consumption is about correct. I use Volswagen Longlife 0W30 to do the oil change and to add.

Yes, that's abut what ours gets through. These engines do seem to like a bit of oil!
