Is it really the fastest Fabia that Skoda sold?

Weight / Power compared to a Mk2 Fabia vRS.

Well over twice the price 15 years later than the vRS, & even a Polo GTI Twincharger from 2010.

Regarding the 130's higher power output. the article says:

(Skoda is) proud to say this is more than a simple ECU reflash of the 1.5. Skoda's Technical Development team changed the four-pot motor's intake plenum, vibration damper and its rocker arms to gain the extra horses, and the 177hp iteration of the TSI Evo2 is now a unique-to-Skoda specification of this turbo petrol engine in the entire VW Group.

Furthermore, the 130 has a retuned seven-speed DSG 'box (yes, we know, sad times: there is no six-speed manual transmission option for the fleet-footed Fabia) with higher shift points for quicker acceleration, double-clutch downshifts in Sport mode for smoother gear-changes, and modified braking logic for punchier re-acceleration. Skoda also says it has worked on the exhaust system to give the Fabia 130 a beefier voice than a regular 150hp 1.5.

This £400 tuning module would provide (advertised) power/torque increases from 150PS/250Nm to 191PS/328Nm.

Had a mk1 vrs from new ehich i kept for 16 years and currently driving a kia proceed gt 1st edition but looking forward to returning to skoda

I too have a red 130 on order (ordered early dec '25) but have just been informed by the garage that I won't get it til June !

Same here ordered january will be here june . Gone blue though .

Finally took delivery of my 130 ordered in December, very pleased so far although having driven manuals for 40 years might take a bit of getting used to an auto!

Weird that i was stuck between blue and red and missus said Blue 🤣 ordered january but yep think theyre all being delivered now. 🥰

Mine took just over two weeks to get from Grimsby to dealer and then handover... the saleswoman even sent me a short vid of the car when it arrived at dealers 😂 took a week to prep...
