Digital Clock and Dashboard Clock

Featured Replies

Hi. I've just had the touchscreen replaced and happy to say everything is all working again with the exception of the clock which is stuck at 12:00. The second hand is still working though. The time on the dashboard behind the steering wheel is working fine and can be adjusted. Can anyone please advise me ho to adjust the clock on the touchscreen when it is in standby mode? Many thanks.

Which unit please?

Ross TechIt seems to be becoming a common problem on the Amundsen 2, mine does the same and my web searches indicate there isn't a fix, yet.
It seems to be common across the VAG range using Mib 2 units, something to do with software and Skoda can't be bothered with a patch as the vehicle is 8 years out of production

Many thanks for all replies, we can all wait in hope for a fix.

This is unfortunately a known and common problem caused by a communication issue between the head unit and the instrument cluster. It seems to be common in head units made in 2016 across the wider VW group.

I had my dealer work on it for quite a while before they gave up.

I have bought an Eonon head unit to replace mine - as soon as I can work out how to connect the rear view camera.

I did notice something to day whilst sat in the car, engine off but key in the ignition. The MIB2 time was at 12.00 but displayed the minutes as time passed until I started the car then it reset itself to 12.00.
strange

strange

Mine is stuck on twelve.

I fixed mine, here's how
It works if you have a Technisat based unit only, check your software train by pressing and holding the menu until you see the info (it will be at the top of the screen and if it doesn't end in T then this is not for you)

use this Firmware link and sign in with user name and password as guest. The site can be a bit slow at times.
you should see this and you want the file MST2_EU_SK_PQ_P0255T 5FPQSW255

 ?hash=47803d6efa24db6f4601d49c3e4adcd9

You need an SD card formatted to FAT32 and extract the file to this.

This YouTube video (how to update firmware) explains the process clearly

I had no head unit issues until i bought a new mapping card a few years after i took delivery of my baby.

The head unit refused to read the new card and did all sorts of strange things.

Over the next few months the dealer made numerous attempts to get it working, even keeping the car overnight to hook it up directly to head office in the Czech Republic for the techs to work on her directly to no avail,

About 6 months later they contacted me and said they had a new head unit that they had tested with the lstest mapping and if I wanted to bring my baby in they would fit the head unit and if it worked - it was mine.

Well it did and it was perfect until the the dreaded 12.00/6.28 hit. Strangely - it hit the same day as I picked her up after having the drivers door lock replaced. I took her back to the dealer and although they said that it couldn't have been anything they had done - they agreed to try and fix it and had her in a half a dozen times -including overnight for the head office examination.

In the end they could do nothing except offer me a new one at $3000 odd or to fit anything else I bought at a nominal hourly rate.

I was wrapped when I saw your post and dashed down to get the details from the Yeti.

I apparently have firmware MST2_EU_SK_PQ_P063T - which doesn't seem to be anything like other people have.

I am now concerned about what I may lose if I installed the new firmware you have used.

That i cant answer as the firmware i used is 02xx, with yours running 06xx its unlikely to work as it would be a downgrade.

Clearly the creator of this firmware has coding ability and has edited out the 0628/0000 issue to create the upgrade from 0253
