Passenger fog light for France and headlights

Featured Replies

Hello, i have a 2022 Karoq (RHD) and i’ve moved to France with and it will need a DREAL (French gov) check to be ok for French roads.

The 2 main things are the Headlights and the fog light.

For the fog it needs to be central or to the passenger rear side, it looks to me like there is a LED foglight to the rear passenger side, not just a reflector. Does anyone know if this is the case? If so, how do i get it working?

Also, the headlights won’t pass and they don’t have the travel function (standard LED not the Matrix LED headlights)….i’m looking at changing them if the dip can’t be adjusted out? Does anyone tech know if the different headlights are likely to be plug and play?

Thanks

For the rear fog light, provided the light fitting is fully-lamped, I believe there is an adaption to enable both rear fogs (Scandinavian, I think) - although access for adaptation may require Stealer or similar to bypass protection.

Sadly there is only a reflector in the place of what would normally be the second rear fog light. So it means buying a fog light for a european Karoq, replacing the reflector with it and wiring it up to the other light.

Here is a guide on how someone else added the other rear fog light without having to remove the bumper. https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/524372-twin-fog-lights-guide/

Thank you i’m looking at that now. It is just that when you look at the reflector is looks like it has three led’s in it also.

Are you able to access the rear of the cluster to check?

I believe it’s almost a rear bumper off to see, though maybe i’ll be able to see if i remove the rear n/s light cluster
