Having just upgraded our Fabia to a 2012 there’s a small switch with a car symbol on down by the drivers door pillar , what does this do

If it's the same as the Octavia it disables the interior alarm sensors until you next relock the car.

I think it's start the car not relock, because you do it before you get out so if you where then to unlock to get in the boot it would reset, so that is why i think it's next time you start the car.
