Hi, I was previously a member on here but forgot my password and it was an old email address, we ordered the above car in May 2022 and collected it in September 2022, we have been very happy with it and have had no issues up until this week when the heater fan now only works on setting 4, I’ve checked fuses and can’t hear any relays clicking when I ask my wife to switch the fan to 4, has anyone else experienced this issue and if so did you have any joy with a fix, any advice would be gratefully received please. Most likely the recurring Skoda heater resistor/ controller issue.

Hi Lee01, That’s interesting I’d not heard of this, I’ve just searched that on here but can only see 2 results and their mine and your entries, if you would be so kind as to point me in the right direction to any links

@Scotty68 that's because people search for the heater resistor which have a long history of failing on the MkI, II & MkIII Fabias (amongst other models) but I seem to recall a post saying the the MkIV Fabia has a heater controller (

@Breezy_Pete Might know more?) rather than a resistor. If you search for heater controller or heater resistor then you'll probably get more hits.
