Help for 300HP

Featured Replies

Hello! I have purchased a 1.8 Turbo FWD Octavia Tour (the eastern europe name for the last series of Octavia 1) in November - last year - and i kinda got bored with 150 hp. I was thinking of getting about 300 hp but as i've read many forums, i do not know what to do. Is 2-wheel-drive enough for 300 hp, as i've read 250 hp is the limit - so do i have to change to 4x4 ? and if so - wwhat parts do i have to change / buy - better if OEM or Aftermarket ? Does the Gearbox and Engine resist the force as i intend to drive the car everyday and wouldn't want to break it. Also for a first stage i would like to upgrade it to 200-220 hp - so any suggestions on how to do that and the most reliable way to do it would come in handy. My engine code is AUM. Thank you very much. My email is [email protected]. Please feel free to PM me or e-mail me any setups or recommandations. 10x a lot guys. PS: i'm from Romania :)

You will need a new body shell if you want to convert to 4X4 along with a complete change of suspension and transmission including gearbox, prop shaft, Haldex unit and controller etc. The cost of that lot would probably be more than buying a new car! 300hp or more is achievable at a price. Have a look at what SkodiRS has done to his Octavia vRS.
