EA888 PCV and hose

Featured Replies

Looking for a replacement PCV valve and hose for my 2016 TSI 280.

Awesome and AKS have the valve (original VAG) on for £120. AKS list the hose for £80 ish.

Looking at AUTODOC there appears to be a number of cheaper options. Fully aware that some of these could be junk, are there any of them worth getting, being as my original has lasted the best part of 70 thousand miles so far?

Also, if anyone has DIY’ed the replacement of the valve and hose, please feel free to share any tips.

Thanks for bringing up this subject, among the looong list of things to look at, I was thinking what is the relative PCV failure rate, and wether a oil catch can, either recirculating or just "collector" type, would be a smart addition.

Mines just leaking from the valve. I wouldn’t consider a catch can for my car, it’s a daily family hauler and I don’t need the hassle. Nigh on 70k out of the original seems reasonable to me….

I actually do not see it as a "performance" mod, in so much as a way to minimize oil vapor gasses from clogging intake tract areas, which on a DI injection are an added problem ... I think.
