Remote not working

Featured Replies

Hello , hope well , so after my remote eating batteries for 6 months its finally packed up local dealer cant look at issue for 6 weeks , ahy advice I have read you can re sync the key ??

  • 5 weeks later...

From what I read on the key battery topic (not necessarily Skoda), if you want to save the battery, it's better to deactivate the Kessy function.

The battery can be easily replaced and such tutorials can be found on the Internet.

If the keyfob does not work otherwise, keep it next to the start button and it should allow you to start the car / synch it.

I understand that KESSY places a strain on the keyfob battery so that would suggest that the battery will need to be replaced more often. Given the ease with which the battery can be replaced, and the low cost of the battery itself, this is not a deal breaker. Deactivating the KESSY system is akin to throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
