I requested a quote for a dsg service on our karoq. 7 speed wet clutch dq381 from a local independent vag specialist. Come back with £419.

Does that sound about right. The cost of the fluid is the biggest outlay. Labour looks to be 1 hour charged.

Looks great. Expensive but the oil is, and they are doing the filter. Cheaper at a Main Dealership with them saying no Filter until the 2nd Service and then messing up is not simply clever. How much is the main dealer quoting? Is the Independent updating the Service History?

I don't believe they will update service history. I have not got a quote from a main dealer yet. I don't think I'm interested if they don't change the filter.

The Independent might be the safest way. Talk with the Main Dealer and see if you can talk with the Master Tech. But for maybe £50 less i would still swerve them. See what they say about the filter. PS, Ask the Independent. Surely they must have licensed equipment for checking Updates, putting the Service onto the computer..,.

My Sportline 4x4 is only 2 yrs old and done 12,000 miles so not needed a DSG oil change yet. My previous wet clutch DSG had 3 oil and filter change services, the last in 2023 was around £300 parts labour and VAT, the oil is expensive 2015 £68 +vat, 2018 £75 + vat, 2023 £101 +vat, and going up alot each time too. I think my DQ 250 only had 5 litres too,. Your quote doesn't seem unreasonable to me.

Skoda Main Dealers were with DQ250,s and then DQ381,s quoting / charging £275, then £300, £325 and pick a number any number even without the filter. IOt will be good to know what they are at in 2026.

Skoda Maidstone charge 365.16 this does not include filter
