Help me identify this broken suspension piece

Featured Replies

Hi,

The suspension on the front right makes a clonking noise when I rotate the steering wheel fully to the right or drive over bumps.

I managed to spots a loose ring shaped piece inside of the coil. I have tried to identify what the piece might be but with no success. Any ideas?

Have you compared the height of the car left and right front?

Top mounts and bearings are often damaged or dislodged as a result of spring breakage and the remaining part's jagged edges digging into stuff.

Did a quick measurement. I'm guessing that the spring is broken as my car seems to be about 5cm lower on the "damaged" side.

Yes, I was expecting you to find that. That bearing couldn't get to that position if its spring was fully intact.
