What is the furthest you can go at a consistent speed and how fast?

Around 80kmh (50mph) would be OK. Still concerned about heating up the exhaust though. I mean it takes so long for even the engine to heat up.

The constant engine speed does not mean accelerating hard to get it there.

Until today I wasn't able to regen as the weather was around -12C. It started giving other errors related to the GPF. DTC P2084. When it started giving error on the dashboard, I connected my OBD2 and got the code.

I first wiped the DTC log, then went driving in the motorway at 100 kmh for about an hour, revving around 2500 rpm. I was just about to give up after an hour, it displayed the message "You need to run the engine for longer" ). Eventually, I gave up as the oil temp didn't go higher than 85C (and the outside temperature was around -9C).

I remembered our discussion about the AC, so I switched off the AC heater, just allowing the plain old heater. Then the magic happened! It cleared. Even the DTC P2084 did not revamp.

Let's see how it goes tomorrow.

It is in the Owners Manuals for Skoda / VW etc. It will be a growing issue. Plenty threads on GPF,s here. And ask Skoda Dealers about price of GPF replacements. Shrugs shoulders. PHEV,s might really become an issue.

So, I have been doing it wrong. It's been well over a month with the GPF symbol on the dashboard and it's also been giving the P2084 error on the OBD as well as P2463 (GPF).

The temperatures having been around -15C, I didn't even try cleaning it as it takes around 60 minutes just to warm up the car....until today (-1C) TBH. But I guess I need to do the revving too.

Has anyone been successful cleaning the GPF on a 1.4 TSI PHEV by driving at 3000-5000 RPM over 80 kmh (50 mph) ?
