Yes thats what they are saying it's due to the extreme range, but I am tall haha

Ok sure could do that as a test

I was joking. I think they have to be coded by dealer for each seat.

does the 1cm make that much difference?

It does, as its for the dip so helps to get a little lower

I agree with this too. 1cm makes all the difference.

Point taken. I’m obviously too short!

You feel more planted in the seat. I always thought the seating position was high, coming from an A4

@JR RS where is the module located so I can have a look, they said no firmware updates etc for the current one.

Software version wise, mine is:-

SW: 5Q0 959 760 C H09 0024

HW: 5Q0 959 760 C

Pics of the module under the driver's seat.....

I had a thought on this, this morning.

Have you got the setting saved to the key?

I wonder if you save the position on the button, but don't link it to the key, whether it will stay where you want it to be, because everytime you unlock with the key it is repositioning.

And then on the occassion your wife drives it, if she pushes the memory button for her setting with the door open before getting in, it will move to her position with one press.

When you go to get in after, do the same, and you may need to push the button for that last 1cm that time, but for the majority of the time if its just you driving it stays where you want it to be.

Searching the web for this, I remember having this on the Tarraco also, so when my Wife used the car with her key the seat would move etc.

As she doesn't like the Superb and still hasn't driven the car since I bought it in Oct last year, I will try this...

Which after searching the web about linking the key and seat it came up with this thread from here which seems to answer it -

So following the above thread this has worked by turning off the personalisation, which I am not sure what it really did, I assume for each key it held the seat/mirror etc in the position for that key.

As I am only driving the car currently then its no skin off my nose not to have this.

Now onto the next thing haha

I have mine set to the key, Via the profile settings all working as designed.

Yet the chair will not persistently sit at the extreme position. I have the ass full down and the thigh one fully up. They always go back just a fraction after a few hours.

That is exactly how I have my seat with it behaving like that until I turned off the personalisation and now it stays where it is set it

awesome. It suddenly occurred to me this morning that if you had personalisation, everytime you unlock the car it automatically moves the seat to your settings. If it doesn’t like the extreme it means it’s moving that 1cm away from what you want.

Without personalisation it doesn’t try to move each time so therefore stays in your position.

If you wife does then program her own setting onto position 2 you will just have to push 1 for your setting and then the 1cm extra. But it should then stay at that until she uses it again.

I'll add this to the list of things to do/try 😜
