No air coming from centre flaps or foot flaps

Featured Replies

Hi all

So got a weird fault, I don’t have any air coming from my centre flaps or foot flaps on both sides. I’ve tried the reset but still not working.

I’ve been told there’s a few actuator on driver side and passenger side - what should I be looking at?

I have a 2016 super tdi dual climate control.

I have a similar issue. If you have an obd reader you can do a full scan for fault codes and it will tell you which flaps have issues. It may be that they are stuck or in my case they have lost their calibration.

On a RHD car the actuators are mounted above the glove box. You can remove the glove box to get to them and manually move the flaps in case they are stuck. If not you may need to replace the actuators.

Just to confirm, have you turned “auto” off? As you rarely get air from the centers when that’s on

Yes auto is off

Next best thing is to scan it as it should be logging a code

I’ve got the manuals. I’ve added the air con one to my drive. I’ll DM you the link.

Thanks to Binx1310 , I found the actuator, cost me £15 from breakers. Had to calibrate it a few times and now works spot on! Thank you all

Excellent.

Can you tell me the part number? Was it ok to get to/install?
