OBD2 port

Featured Replies

My 2007 skoda fabia 2 obd2 port will not accept my vlinker mc+ , it fitted in my toyota. I suspected the vlinker

  • to be the problem so bough an obd2 extension lead, the vlinker+ fitted that ok but the extension lead would not go into the fabia obd2 port.

  • I have a VDCS dongle which easily fits the odb2 port and also can access all the cars can bus functions.

  • My question is, is the obd2 port different as I thought obd2 ports were of a standard

It could be the plastic housing around the obd2 port, maybe the extension lead that have a thic plastic and it dosen't fit, append to me one

My old Seat was the same. Garage scanner plug was slightly too thick. I ended up unclipping socket to plug it in.

Yes that was the problem, vdcs was thinner, cut away a little of the surround and all is fitting ok now.
