Yet another Yeti?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

We had been looking for a new family car for quite a while. We wanted something affordable, with practical rear seats, suitable for towing our caravan, good road holding, and a distinctive exterior, that’s how we ended up with this model.

We’ve owned this Yeti since September 2024, and we’re still very happy with it. It’s a September 2011 model with the [1.4] CAX 90kW engine, and we’ve now driven around 10000 km in it.

In April 2025, at around 131000 km, the following work was carried out: timing chain kit (IWIS, supplied via Febi), oil pump chain kit, water pump (INA), auxiliary belt kit, oil filter, engine oil, coolant.

In July 2025, I changed the brake fluid myself after a few scary moments when I lost braking power while driving.

P.S. The kids absolutely love the fold-out

tray tables.

Regards,

Marvin

It is clear you made a practical choice, especially with towing needs and family usability in mind. The maintenance work already completed should help with long-term reliability and reduce surprises. It is also nice to see the car fitting family use well, as those small interior features can make everyday driving and trips much more comfortable.
