2012 1.2 TSI ( CBZA ) ECU ISSUES - EPC LIGHT

Featured Replies

Hi All , First time posting ,

My fabia EPC light used to come on now and then and disapear for days on end, last week it came on and didnt want to go off ( the car goes into limp mode )

After a tow home from the AA , i had a auto electrician come out and he plugged his readers in etc and said it was coming up with throttle bodt error codes, he since then found a damaged wire which he repaired, but now says the ecu needs reapiring ? the car drove less than 5 miles and the dreaded EPC light came back on so its back on the drive way !

any one had similar before ?

Hello, welcome to the forum.

What were the DTCs (error codes) recorded?

Did the MIL sometimes light up as well as the EPC?

Hi, welcome.

This might be better in the Fabia Mk2 forum, I'll report it to a Moderator and see what they think (by clicking on the three dots at the top right corner of your post and selecting 'Report').

The trottole body is electronically controlled it means every time it get disconnected or removed (disconnected also like a broken wire) it will need an adaptation (in my Fabia I use vcds) but I believe a mechanic wit a good diagnostic can do it too
