Not the most serious problem, but if there's an easy fix, I'll do it. I have an saloon with the 2 part boot opening. But when I long press on the keyfob to open the boot, it unlocks, clicks up, but won't open fully. Very rarely will it open fully. Like one in 50 times. Sometimes it opens about 6 inches. Is there anything to be done or is this just the normal feature of it? It's been like this since I bought it in 2019, car is 2008

Unfortunately as with most problems with modern cars, think the first action here is to get a full scan of all controllers with VCDS or similar to identify any faults associated with the door. That will hopefully then allow you to zero in on suspect component(s) to investigate
