As yet I haven’t owned any Skodas, but I have owned loads of cars in the VW group Audis Passats and currently Seat Exeo, which has got to the point where it is uneconomical to keep on the road,

So I’m currently looking at replacing it with an Octavia ….. well once I’ve scraped up some cash😖

I’m looking at diesel auto with heated seats , around about 2014-17 (cheaper tax and insurance) as it’s unlikely to have all bells and whistles ( due to me not having enough cash) I hope to find out info on how to ( if possible) retrofit reversing camera, heated steering wheel , and apple car play ( or upgrade stereo? I’m not sure what is fitted spec wise)

Hopefully ( I have only just made the account so not looked yet) there’s a list of model specs and also info on what to look for when buying a car , as I don’t know what problems the Octavia has or how to check a DSG gearbox 🤔

Welcome. A 2.0 TDI with a 6 speed wet clutch DSG might be a better buy than a 1.6TDI with a 7 Speed Dry Clutch DSG.
